SAN ANTONIO –The rise of social media has infiltrated one of the most intimate and memorable day of a person’s life: their wedding day.

Wedding websites, Facebook pages and designated hashtags are now par for the course when it comes to weddings.

Some are wondering about how to have a perfect day and navigate the murky waters of the World Wide Web simultaneously.

We asked wedding planners and our Facebook friends what they had to say:

Wedding websites: Some details are a must

When it comes to the wedding website, there are a couple of elements our wedding planners all agreed on.

Couples should make sure to give details like directions, the terrain or recommended attire to the wedding, especially if the venue is difficult to find.

Letting the men know whether or not you expect people to wear black or a little bit more casual attire is acceptable, said Tracy French of The French Connection. If you have the expectation, then you need to tell people. Otherwise, people are going to show up in something other than what you’re wanting.
